Questions we get on every call
I don’t have designs or a proper spec. Can we still start?
That’s most of the founders we work with. A rough idea and a clear sense of who it’s for is enough to start the conversation. Turning that into scope, screens, and architecture is the work we do in the build plan.
Is four weeks actually realistic?
Yes, for a scoped MVP with a clear scope. Four weeks works because we lock what’s in and what’s out before we start, not because we cut corners on quality. If your idea genuinely needs longer, we’ll say so in the build plan rather than promise you four weeks and miss it.
How much does this cost?
It depends on what you’re building, and any number quoted before we’ve seen your scope is a guess. After a 30 minute call we send you a fixed price, and that price doesn’t move for the agreed scope. Most MVPs land between $6,000 and $25,000.
How do payments work?
Payments are tied to milestones, split 40/30/30 across the project. You’re never paying for work you haven’t seen, and you see a working demo every Monday.
What if I change my mind halfway through?
Small changes we absorb. Anything that adds real work we price separately, and you decide whether it goes in now or on the post-launch list. What we won’t do is quietly bill you for it and hand you a bigger invoice at the end.
Why not just build it myself with AI tools?
Go ahead if it gets you a demo for an investor conversation, that’s a good use of AI tools. The gap shows up when real users arrive and you need auth that holds, data that’s safe, and a codebase your next engineer can read. We build for that from the start, so you’re not rebuilding in six months.
Who owns the code?
You do. The code, the repositories, the designs, the documentation, all of it transfers to you after each milestone.
What if I want to hire my own team later?
Then we hand over cleanly. You’ll have documented code, and we’ll walk your new engineers through it. Plenty of founders use us to get to launch and traction, then bring engineering in-house. That’s a good outcome, not a lost client.
