About Us

Your app's launch date is a promise, not an estimate!

Over the years, we've seen the same story play out many times. A founder is told their product will be ready "soon". The date slips, then slips again.

Months later, they've spent more than they planned and still have nothing live to show users or investors.

We work differently. Your scope, price, and launch date are locked before we start building, and you see real progress every Monday.

The founder

Ronak M.

Founder & Lead Engineer

I've been running Wellerman since 2017, building web and mobile products for startups and small businesses. That work includes apps that appeared in two Netflix reality shows and an Amazon commercial, and some of the startups I've worked with have gone on to grow past 50 people and raise a Series A.

Along the way, I spent nearly four years as Technical Lead and consultant for AiPrise, a Y Combinator-backed startup, where I led a team of eight engineers and owned the architecture of its core product.

When you get in touch with Wellerman, you're talking to me. I plan your build, make the technical calls, and stay involved until your product is live.

The rules we work by

Four commitments we make on every project, whether it’s a two-week prototype or a year-long retainer.

  1. We tell you when we can't do it

If your project needs something outside what we're good at, you hear it on the first call and we point you somewhere better. We lose a few projects that way. Nobody loses a quarter.

  2. We'd rather cut scope than move a date

When a week runs long we come to you with what we'd drop, not with a new timeline. You make the call, and the launch date holds.

  3. Everything we build is owned by you

Code, repositories, and documentation are handed over to you at the end of every milestone. You never have to wait until launch to own what's been built.

  4. We write down the decision, not just the code

Every architectural choice comes with a short note on why. When you hire your own team, they inherit reasoning instead of archaeology.

What it's like to work with us

We worked with Wellerman to build an app for Amazon Fashion Up, Season 1, which was delivered in just 3 weeks.

The result was an on-screen shopping app designed specifically for TV screens. It was eventually leveraged for Seasons 2 and 3 as well.

They showcased a great balance of executional excellence along with creative thinking.

Wellerman led the development of an app that allowed a Netflix series to be executed.

The process and app both required flexibility, and they maintained professionalism even under pressure, delivering in just 4 weeks.

We worked with Wellerman to overhaul our website into an e-commerce ready platform and implement a CMS that enabled our team to manage and update content.

The first phase of the project was successfully shipped in just 8 weeks, and they genuinely cared about the success of the product.

Let's talk about what you're building

No pitch and no pressure. Just a conversation about your product, and an honest answer about whether we're the right people to build it.
